Sundar Pichai-1-1024x630Buffett stated that he would donate more than 80 percent to foundations that support charitable causes. In the year 2020, he increased the percentage to 99 percent. Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation was the main beneficiary. It was founded by Bill Gates, Microsoft founder and his wife Melinda. They were focused on education and health in the world. Bill and Buffett have been close to each other since the beginning of the 1990s. The three Buffett children, as well as the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation (named after his wife) were among those that were the recipients of donations. They were concerned with women's reproductive rights, provided college scholarshipsand various other charitable organizations. The Giving Pledge was an invitation for other wealthy people to give a large portion of their fortune to charities established by Buffett and Gates in 2010.
